Access via the nuki.io APP
The apartment is equipped with an automatic door access system called nuki.io.
To open the door by yourself you can download the Nuki App, which is an intelligent door access system. The app is available for

To install the app and getting connected to the apartment’s lock, you must enter an installation code. You will receive this code prior to your arrival. In case you did not, please contact us.
The apartment is at the first floor. When you are in front of the apartment entrance, you may open the door via the app. Just click „OPEN DOOR“ in the app, and the door will open. Note, you need INTERNET ACCESS to open the door via the app!!!!
Inside the apartment you will find keys as well, if you feel more comfortable with the classical keys. If you do not have a smartphone or if you have problems with installing the app, just let us know and we will deposit the key under the door mat. To manually lock the door from the inside, just press the button on the Nuki lock on the door. Information about Nuki, you will find here: https://nuki.io/en/
When you do a check-out, just close the door and leave the keys inside.
Your access token on your smartphone is valid from 3pm on the day of your arrival until 11am on the day of your departure.

Airport
The airport is located in Schwechat and is about 20 km away.
It can be reached by train via the S1 / S2, then change at the station "Rennweg" and take the train S7 towards the airport (time about 40 minutes, cost 4.40 EUR per person).
By taxi or airport shuttle it will take you about 25 minutes (if there is no high traffic). It costs about EUR 30-40 per taxi.

Baby bed
Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a baby bed.
Bike / Bicycle Rental / Segway
There is a free cycling service in Vienna called Vienna City Bike! Vienna City Bike is an innovative and environmentally-friendly public transport. At more than 120 stations in Vienna bikes can be borrowed. You can return your bike at a free bike box at any station. Breakfast
We do not offer breakfast service. Please visit the surrounding cafes for a Viennese breakfast, eg: "Cafe Seven Wells" in the Reinprechtsdorferstraße 29 (5min walk)
Check out
The apartment is available on day of departure until 11.00 pm. Please understand that we must insist on this time frame, to have enough time to prepare the apartment for the next guests. The cleaning service will start exactly at 11:30. Upon check-out, leave the keys on the key rack beside the front door and close the door when you leave the apartment.
The apartment is equipped with a Nespresso machine “DeLonghi Inissia”. At your arrival we invite you to the first cups of coffee. If you need more capsules, you can buy them in the supermarket opposite the street (SPAR). Compatible capsules are offered by the company “Cafe Royal”. Children
Children are welcome at the apartment.
Children up to 3 years stay for free in the parents' bed. The surcharge for the use of the sofa bed for children between 4-14 years will be € 20.00 per child per stay.

Dishes / dishwasher
The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher. You will find the dishwasher tablets in the brown shelf (little drawers) at the right hand side of the kitchen. As a service we offer you 3-5 dishwasher tablets for free. If you stay longer (long term rental), we ask you to buy the tablets by yourself in the supermarket. Please consider the environment before using the dishwasher with little dishes! Use either the manual way for cleaning the dishes or the “Quick Wash” program at the dishwasher for small quantities of dishes. We appreciate if you clean the dishes before you check-out from the apartment.

Downtown / City Center
The center (Vienna Opera House) can be reached by walk from the apartment in about 40-45 minutes. By public transport you can reach the Vienna Opera House in about 20 minutes. To Stephansplatz you need about 30 minutes by public transport.

Electricity
If unexpectedly a short circuit has been caused, you probably need to trigger the the "RCD" switch in the electrical distribution box. The electrical distribution box is in the hallway next to the front door. A flashlight in case of power failure is in the drawer of the desk.
Environmental Protection
Environmental protection is important for all of us. Thus, we offer refillable soap dispensers, heat regulators on the radiators, etc. If you want to contribute: Turn off lights and TV when you leave the room. Switch off the water carefully. Use the paper waste basket under the desk just for paper, for everything else use the basket in the kitchen. Place empty glass bottles next to the basket. Please note: We have borrowed the Earth from our children!

Gas station
The nearest gas station is located on the Triester Str. 6A-8, 1100 Wien. This “Shell” station is always open - located 250m from the apartment. It also houses a small shop where you can buy basic food late at night or during holidays.
Garbage
Of course, we dispose of the trash after you leave. If your litter box is full during your stay, feel free to dispose the trash by yourself. You will find the dumpster in the courtyard of the house. There is one for paper and two dumpsters for residual waste. To enter the courtyard, you don’t need any key. Fresh garbage bags can be found in the brown small wooden shelf in the kitchen.

The hair dryer is in the bathroom in the closet next to the mirror.

Heater
The heater is equipped with a "Smart Heating" system called Tado https://www.tado.com/gb/. The thermostat and the control panel is mounted at eye level next to the living room door (white box). This device automatically detects temperature changes and switches on/off heaters in order to hold a desired temperature. The thermostat is set by default to 22 ° C. If you want to put the heating up / down, press the button on the white panel (bottom right). After that, wait 2-3 seconds until you see little arrows on the display. By clicking these arrows, you can set a new desired temperature. Confirm the temperature with the white button on the bottom right.

Information about the city, the environment, recreational facilities, bus, trains and much more you will get directly from the free hotline of the Vienna Tourist Board via +43-1-24 555.
Host
We - as your hosts - live about 20 minutes away from the apartment. If there are some urgent problems, please understand that it will take us some time to be at the apartment.

Jogging/Running
Vienna offers a lot of parks where you can enjoy nice jogging laps. One of the most beautiful places is the garden at the Belvedere Palace. About 10 minutes away from the apartment.
Keys
You got two keys from us during check-In. One is for locking/unlocking the main entrance to the building. The other one is used for accessing the apartment. Please do not lose the key. If you lose the key, we need to charge EUR 700 because the entire lock system must be replaced. Upon check-out, leave the keys on the key board in the hallway and close the door firmly. Information on access by Nuki.io app you will find under “Nuki door system”.
Kitchen / Cooking
In the kitchen you find the most common cooking utensils in high quality (pans, plates, cutlery, glasses, etc.). Feel free to use the ingredients from previous guests (e.g. salt, pepper, oil). Please throw away all short-life food products before checking-out (e.g. eggs, fruits, butter, cheese, etc.).
Laundry
The bathroom is equipped with a washing machine. You can also find tablets for the washing machine in the brown chest in the kitchen. Please enclose a tablet directly into the laundry (one per stage of the washing program).
The washing machine also has a dryer function. If you need a description of using the washing machine, you will find it in the drawer of the table.
Mailbox / Stamps
The post office is located 100 meters away in Jahngasse 39. If you want to receive letters, we offer you to send them to our home address "Rainer Schuster, Rennweg 53/25, 1030 Vienna". We will forward it to you once a week.

Newspaper
You can either buy daily newspapers in the supermarket EUROSPAR or at the Traffik (= kiosk) in the Wiedner Hauptstrasse 146.
Parking your car
An underground car park is located on the opposite side of the street about 60 meters from the apartment (just below the supermarket SPAR). The garage costs EUR 36 per day. 1.5 hours of parking are free, if you buy something in the supermarket.
Parking at the street costs 2 EUR per hour from Monday - Friday. You need to buy parking tickets at the Kiosk. Saturday and Sunday you can park for free.
Pillow
You are welcome to use an extra pillow, which can be found in the upper part of the wardrobe.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in our apartment.

Less than 20m away, right in the neighboring house - directly on the corner Wiedner Hauptstraße / Reinprechtsdorferstraße.

Public transportation
The apartment is very located closely to the public transport in Vienna.
Matzleinsdorferplatz station (3 minutes):
This station offers five tram lines and 6 subway lines (S-Bahn). From there, you can easily go to the main station (trains every 3-5 minutes). Just take the so-called “S-Bah” to the north direction.
You can go to the center by tram lines "1", "62" and "Badener Bahn".
Bus line 14A takes you directly to the largest shopping street in Vienna ("Mariahilferstrasse").
Laurenzgasse station (6 minutes walk):
This station is very attractive because it offers all tram lines on one platform. Although it will take you a few minutes more to walk, it is very comfortable, because you can take all trains heading to the center (direction to Vienna Opera House).
Hints:
You will need about 20-30 minutes by public transport to reach the center. Please, buy a ticket anyway. Tickets are available at each station and costs 2.20 EUR per trip. You can also buy tourist tickets (eg 24h / 48h / 72h). For the respective prices, refer to the website of “Wiener Linien”: www.wienerlinien.at/tickets
Radio
There are already some radio channels available at the satellite TV. You will also find a stereo system on the white shelf beside the desk (there is a small remote control for the stereo system).

Smoking
Smoking inside the apartment is strictly PROHIBITED!
Nevertheless, you will find a cigarette vending machine 50m away at the Wiedner Hauptstraße.

Train stations
90% of all trains in Vienna leave from the two most-frequented stations: Vienna Central Station and Wien Westbahnhof.
Trains to Germany usually leave from Westbahnhof. However, most international trains leave from Vienna Central Station.

Trips
You can request information about possible destinations either directly from us or from the Tourist Information at + 43-1-24 555. You can also book a certified Tour Guide: Christian Stockinger, +43 699 10990204. Please mention my name "Rainer Schuster" in order to get a special price. The tour guide can show you the hot spots of Vienna, as well as day trips to the surrounding regions/cities (e.g. Burgenland or Wachau).
TV
We are offering about 40 German-language satellite TV channels and radio stations. We receive the stations via the broadcasting service SimpliTV. A detailed channel list can be found here: https://www.simplitv.at/senderliste/
Please use the “Philips” remote control to turn on the TV. To set the programs or use the "Kathrein" remote control for the receiver. The SimpliTV box is connected to the port "HDMI Side". If you change accidentally use the Philips remote control to switch back to the “HDMI Side” channel. The Simpli TV Box is connected via an indoor antenna, which is on the windowsill. Please don’t move this indoor antenna, otherwise the TV signal may be affected. Furthermore, don’t place any objects in the near of the antenna.
INTERNET TV (IB TV): We also offer more than 1000 international channels via Internet TV (e.g. ESPN, CNN, BBC, etc.). Just switch to HDMI 2 channel and use the IP TV remote control to navigate through the IP TV menu.
APPLE TV: If you have an apple ID account, you can use the Apple TV box to watch Pay-TV movies / series. Please don’t forget to log out before checking out from the apartment.
WIFI / W-LAN
Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire apartment. The Internet speed is really high with an average bandwidth rate of 30Mbit. In the apartment you will find the access data
Wine (8 EUR per bottle)
As you have noticed, there is a small selection of wines from Austria (Burgenland) on the shelf. These wines come from our own vineyards Kummer-Schuster, which are in the Northern part of Burgenland. More information about the winery can be found here: www.kummer-schuster.com
If you would like to taste the wine and drink a bottle or more, you are welcome to do so. Each bottle costs 8 EUR. Please put the money into the candy box in the white shelf. We say thank you and CHEERS!
